HOW DOES ZANZOLE 24HR WORK?

Zanzole 24HR is a type of medicine called a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by decreasing the amount of acid made by the stomach which may help relieve your symptoms.

WARNING SIGNS AND WHEN TO SEEK HELP

Seek immediate help if you experience severe chest pain or pressure, especially when combined with other symptoms such as pain in the arm or jaw or difficulty breathing.

Make an appointment with your doctor if:

  • Heartburn occurs more than twice a week
  • Symptoms persist despite use of over-the-counter medications such as Zanzole 24HR
  • You have difficulty swallowing
  • You have persistent nausea or vomiting
  • You have weight loss because of poor appetite or difficulty eating

If symptoms persist or recur within 2 weeks of completing the course of Zanzole 24HR, consult your doctor. Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you are not feeling better or your symptoms worsen while you are taking Zanzole 24HR.

Consult your doctor immediately if you are concerned, in particular if you:

  • Experience pain or indigestion during treatment with Zanzole 24HR
  • Vomit blood or food
  • Pass black (blood-stained) stools

If you notice any of the following serious side effects, tell your doctor immediately or go to Accident and Emergency at your nearest hospital:

  • Liver problems (often seen as yellowing of your skin or the whites of your eyes, feeling generally unwell, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite)
  • Shortness of breath, wheezing or difficulty breathing
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or other parts of the body
  • Severe skin reaction
